Manchester United want to keep Cristiano Ronaldo in January

Manchester United think that Cristiano Ronaldo will make another push to leave Old Trafford when the transfer window opens in January, according to ESPN. The report has claimed that former Real Madrid and Juventus star wanted to leave Old Trafford in the summer transfer window and will want to head towards the exit door in January, but the Red Devils want to keep him and are confident of doing so until the end of the season.

Ronaldo returned to United in the summer of 2021 from Juventus and is under contract at Old Trafford until the summer of 2023. The 37-year-old forward made 31 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Red Devils last season, scoring 29 goals and providing three assists in the process. The forward also scored six goals in seven UEFA Champions League matches last season.

So far this season, Ronaldo has made one start and five substitute appearance in the Premier League for United so far this season. The forward scored one goal and gave one assist in three UEFA Europa League games last season.
