Manchester United are interested in signing Evan Ferguson from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion, according to Football Insider. Ferguson has just signed a new deal with Brighton, but that has not stopped from former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners United from showing real interest in the Republic of Ireland international striker.
Ferguson is one of the best young strikers in the Premier League and has been superb for Brighton. The 19-year-old has made seven starts and four substitute appearances in the league for the Seagulls this campaign, scoring five goals in the process. The striker scored six goals and provided two assists in 10 league Strats for Brighton.
Manchester United are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 21 points from 12 matches, five points behind Tottenham Hotspur in fourth. Meanwhile, Brighton and Hove Albion are currently eighth in the standings with 19 points from 12 games.
