Manchester United want West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone

Manchester United are interested in signing Sam Johnstone from West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 2021, according to The Sun. It has been reported that the Red Devils have made Johnstone their top transfer target if David De Gea or Dean Henderson leaves at the end of the season.

De Gea and Henderson are the two main goalkeepers at United at the moment. While the Spain international has been the first choice for a number of years now, the later has started to play more games in recent weeks, and there is a suggestion that he is ready to dislodge De Gea and make the spot between the posts his own.

Johnstone is a former United player, but the Englishman failed to break into the first team. The goalkeeper has been one of the better players for West Brom this season. The Baggies are in real danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season, and it is hard to see Johnstone stay at the club if that happens.
