According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Manchester United’s two primary targets heading into the summer transfer window are Mario Mandzukic and Callum Wilson. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made it clear that when the winter window rolls around, they’ll be looking into the possibility of signing a goalscoring forward. The recent injury to Anthony Martial, as well as the poor form of Marcus Rashford, has caused United to re-think their strategy ever so slightly as they go in search of a place in the top four.
The club will continue to scout both men and keep an eye on them, although when it comes to the realism of both deals, Wilson seems much more likely. Mandzukic has received offers from elsewhere but for Wilson, the Englishman isn’t going to get many better deals than the offer of going to the Red Devils.
He could stay with Bournemouth, but it’d certainly be a risk.
