According to a report from Daily Express, Kalidou Koulibaly’s proposed move to Manchester United has hit a speed bump with the Red Devils supposedly having two bids rejected by Italian side Napoli for the defender. The 27 year old has been turning heads for quite some time now over in Serie A, to the point where a series of top European clubs have showcased their interest in him. Now, though, it’s obvious to see that United are in the driving seat.
Alas, they’ll need to pull out the big guns if they want to secure his signature, with Koulibaly currently being contracted to Napoli until the summer of 2023.
United certainly have the finances necessary to make this deal a reality, but it depends on just how stubborn Napoli are willing to be regarding the eventual price tag.
The Senegalese international joined the club back in 2014 when he made the transition over from Genk.
