Manchester City has launched a bid for the 29 year old, Real Zaragoza striker Diego Milito. This is according to the player’s agent as reported by Setanta Sports.
The Blanquillos have been relegated to the Spanish second division following a terrible season and a number of players are expected to leave Zaragoza over the course of the summer.
The striker had been linked to Tottenham earlier, but his agent Adrian Faija has revealed that Mark Hughes’ City is the only club that have approached the attacker. He was quoted as saying: “Manchester City is the only club to have placed a bid with my clients’ employers.â€Â
The Spanish press have stated an £8 million bid is being discussed by both clubs for the Argentina international. Hughes, who has only been installed as the manager a few weeks ago, is trying to strengthen a squad that will compete in the UEFA Cup in the new season.
