Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini has all but confirmed interest in Dnipro hotshot Yevhen Konoplyanka.
The Nerazzurri are believed to be in the market for an attack-minded midfielder, with the Ukraine star reportedly high on their wish list.
Inter officials had been showing interest in Konoplyanka long before Roberto Mancini returned to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, but it appears the former Manchester City boss is well aware of the player’s qualities.
Speaking ahead of the Europa League clash against Dnipro, the Italian coach has all but suggested Inter could make a move in the January window.
“He is a great player, young; we must be very careful because he is Dnipro’s best footballer,” Mancini said at a press conference.
“He is one of the strongest players in he Ukrainian league, he could also do well with the most important teams.”
With Konoplyanka’s contract due to expire at the end of the current campaign, chances are he will be available for a nominal fee in the upcoming transfer window.
The 25-year-old has spent his entire career up to date with Dnipro, and has managed 39 goals and 33 assists in 185 league outings.
