(GSM) – Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has played down rumours of selling Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Togo striker has been linked with Liverpool and Milan.

“It is important to remember the squad we have is improving and most of the players have not been here for a long time. City supporters do not need to be worried about us losing our best players,” Mancini told City’s website.

“In fact, the Club has had no offers from any club for any of our players.

“In Emmanuel’s case, he is a top player who can score lots of goals for Manchester City. I know he can improve and I am looking forward to working with him in pre-season.”
