Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini was given a 20,000-pound (31,000-dollar) fine by the Football Association (FA) on Thursday after his touchline bust-up with Everton boss David Moyes last month.

But the fine has been suspended in total until the end of the 2011/12 season.

Mancini, who admitted a charged of improper conduct, barged into Moyes during the final moments of the 2-0 Premier League defeat by Everton at Eastlands on March 24 while trying to grab the ball from the Toffees’ manager.

Moyes was holding onto the ball in what his Italian counterpart perceived to be an act of time-wasting.

The pair had to be separated by fourth official Howard Webb before referee Peter Walton sent both coaches to the stands.

But Moyes, who escaped an FA charge, said soon after the flare-up that Mancini had apologised for losing his cool.

“It was nothing really, and I’ve no problem with Roberto,” Moyes said.

“He was fine immediately afterwards, he apologised walking down the tunnel, and I have no problem at all with him, you just get along with it.”

An FA statement on Thursday said Mancini has been warned as to his future conduct and fined 20,000 pounds, “which is to be suspended in total until the end of the 2011-12 season”.
