Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has warned his players that they can expect a tough battle against Napoli in the Champions League.
The two sides are placed second and third respectively in Group A, and the match at Stadio San Paolo on Tuesday could potentially decide which club goes through to the next stage of the tournament.
Mancini believes that his team will have to play a lot better against the Serie A side than they did when beating Newcastle United in the Premier League 3-1 on Saturday.
“I think we have a good chance now we are in second position but I think it will be difficult in Naples,” he said.
“For Napoli it is the last chance but I think it is important we play football and that we can go through.”
“The feeling is good [in the City camp] for Napoli. The team has improved a lot in the Champions League. But I know what we will find in Naples, they are playing very well at home.”
“If we want to win there, then we will have to play better than this afternoon [against Newcastle].”
Napoli drew 1-1 with City at the Etihad Stadium in September.
