(GSM) – Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has doubted his side’s ability to challenge for the Premier League crown while expecting Sunday’s home match against Arsenal would be ‘difficult’.
The Italian tactician has once again opted to take the pressure off his newly-assembled squad, implying they lack the neccesary experience to launch a serious challenge for Premier League title -despite sitting in second place in the table.
“I don’t know if we can be title challengers,” said Mancini. “Arsenal have played together for many years.”
Meanwhile Mancini has warned striker Emmaneul Adebayor against any type of inflammatory behavior when facing his former club, saying in the Daily Mail: “It’s better to stay calm.
“This will be a very difficult game because when Arsenal play well they are probably the best team in the Premier League.”
