Mancini weighing up move for De Rossi

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is planning a January move for Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi, according to The Sun.

The Italian blamed the lack of midfielders for the slip up against Fulham and he is now set to rekindle his interest in Daniele De Rossi.

Mancini is a keen admirer of the Italy international and has recently admitted his interest in the 28-year-old.

The City boss is hoping to sign the Roma star in January at a cut back price of £8 million.

Daniele De Rossi is reportedly looking for a new challenge and he could leave the club in January if he fails to agree a new deal at Olimpico.

The Italy international was linked with Real and Manchester City earlier this summer, but he eventually decided to remain at Rome.
