According to a recent report from Sky Italy, Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic could be available for transfer during the January transfer window. Mandzukic turned down moves to Qatar, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United during the most recent summer transfer window, after initially being told that he would be permitted to leave the club if he so desired.
The veteran forward seems to be waiting for the right deal to come along, and with United being desperate to bring in a few attacking reinforcements, it appears as if some kind of a deal could be struck between the two parties.
Signing someone like Mandzukic does serve as a risk given his lack of experience in English football, but that is quite clearly a risk they are more than willing to take here.
Now, it’s a case of waiting until we get a bit closer to January as clubs across Europe prepare themselves for a hectic month.
