Mario Mandzukic has been part of several transfer rumours throughout the summer. The teams mentioned in regards to his potential departure from Juventus were Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, but in the end, the Croatia international stayed put. Once the transfer window in European leagues had ended on Monday night, everyone thought that could be it and that Mandzukic would be staying in Turin for at least another six months.
However, according to Tuttosport, he might leave even before that. In fact, the Italian media outlet claims Mandzukic could leave in September, as there is a Qatari club interested in him. The Juventus striker has been left out of Maurizio Sarri’s Champions League squad, which was a clear sign he was not needed anymore and now he could go to Qatar. The reason why clubs from this Gulf country could sign him is because their transfer window ends on 30 September.
The report claims Mandzukic is thinking between moving to Qatar this month or waiting for a move to a European team in January.
