Mario Mandzukic is not a Juventus player anymore. The Croatia international has been heavily linked with a move away from Turin since the summer transfer window when his move to Manchester United did not materialize, but now he will be going to Asia instead.
Mandzukic signed a contract with Al Duhail from Qatar on Tuesday, it was confirmed on social media by a photograph of him signing the papers. It is not completely known how much the former Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Dinamo Zagreb forward will earn, but there are certain speculations.
The most reported salary is 7.5 million euros per year, which means he will earn somewhere around 11.25 million euros for the 18-month contract he signed. Interestingly, Al Duhail are currently sitting atop of the Qatar Stars League halfway through the season and they are close to winning the trophy and qualifying for both the Asian Champions League and the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup.
