Mane completes Liverpool switch

Liverpool have completed the signing of Sadio Mane from Southampton, according to the Mail Online.

The forward becomes the third most expensive signing in the Reds’ history, with a fee of £30m enough to secure his services.

He has penned a five-year deal with the Merseyside club and will wear the number 19 shirt.

Mane, who turned twenty-four in April had long been linked with a move away from St Mary’s with Manchester United also linked but the Merseyside outfit have stolen a march on their rivals.

The Senegal international moved to Southampton form Red Bull Salzburg in the summer of 2014 and made a total of seventy-five appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring twenty-five goals.

He has been capped thirty-six times for his country, scoring ten goals and was part of their squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
