Arsenal’s third-choice goalkeeper Vito Mannone could make his Premiership debut this weekend, if Lukasz Fabianski fails to gain fitness in time.
Arsene Wenger is also without top pick Manuel Almunia, who is dealing with an ankle injury. Fabianski is suffering from a knee injury and is doubtful for Sunday’s clash with Stoke.
The 21-year-old Mannone joined Arsenal in 2006 but first spent some time on loan at Barnsley. Since returning to London, the Italian hasn’t made a first-team appearance.
Not much is at stake for Arsenal in their final match of the season, as the fourth position and Champions League qualification are already secured.
