According to Record, several clubs are interested in signing Benfica goalkeeper Odisseas Vlachodimos. The 24 year old joined the Portuguese club earlier this year, and despite the season still being very young, he’s already being linked with a move away. Portuguese football has never been viewed as one of the premier divisions in Europe, but even with that in mind, it seems odd to think that these rumours are already starting up when we’re still months away from the January transfer window.
The German, who will be hoping to break into the international conversation one day, is being sought after by English clubs Newcastle United, Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea to name a few. Alas, that’s not the only league he could end up in, with Bundesliga kings Bayern Munich also keeping tabs on him as a potential signing.
At the age of just 24, Vlachodimos still has many years left to grow and develop.
