Sevilla coach Gregorio Manzano insists his side must focus on their trip to Osasuna on Wednesday, rather than worry about other results.
Manzano’s team are chasing a Europa League spot and sit in seventh place behind Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao, although they have played one game fewer than both.
A win on Wednesday will see them move into the European places ahead of both clubs, but Manzano is refusing to get ahead of himself before the clash – with Osasuna needing a win to ensure their La Liga survival.
“We have to use our heads against a team who have their fans behind them, whose win against Zaragoza leaves them just one win away from survival,” Manzano said.
“Everyone knows that in Pamplona they support their team. It will be a man’s game, in which there will be fights for the ball and nobody will give up.”
“We’ll have to all try to play a big match against them. This gives the questions and answers more value. We shouldn’t think about Barcelona, instead focus on Pamplona.”
“We have three games to go in which to achieve our dream and earn what we all want. I am the first to want us in Europe, but we aren’t there yet. We will analyse everything at the end of the season.”
