One of Europe’s most exciting forwards, Marc Janko hopes to be playing in England sooner rather than later.
The twenty-five year old Janko is currently playing for Austrian Bundesliga league leaders FC Salzburg.
Janko is also Europe’s leading goal scorer with thirty goals in twenty-one matches and is a tall 1.93m.
If he were to move then the move could happen as soon as the transfer window opens in January.
The English clubs that have been reportedly interested in signing him are Tottenham Hotspur, Middlesbrough and Blackburn Rovers.
Interestingly Janko’s mother was an Olympic bronze medallist in the javelin competition in Mexico in 1968 Olympic Games. Representing Austria, she threw the javelin 58.04m, which still stands as the Austrian record.
His contract at Salzburg is set to expire only in 2011. The Austrian Bundesliga will now be in recess for two months.
