Real Madrid’s Marcelo has informed club president Florentino Perez of his desire to leave and join Juventus, according to Tuttosport.
The Italian title holders are trying to build a team capable of winning the Champions League, and they’re apparently doing it by picking players from the team that won the competition on last three occasions. They’ve already acquired Cristiano Ronaldo, and as the report suggest, the Portuguese superstar has had his hand in this situation with Marcelo. The Brazilian wants to move, and Juventus want to sign him.
Perez isn’t happy with what’s going on at his club at all, with the results slipping away and players wanting to leave, but in the case of Marcelo, he realizes there’s not much point in keeping a player against his will. Marcelo insists the move be made as early as January, he doesn’t wish to wait for the season to end. However, with his contract not expiring before June 2022, he’s not very likely come cheap for the Old Lady, despite being 30 years old.
