Marcelo cools Real exit talk

Real Madrid defender Marcelo has played down reports linking him with a move away for the Bernabeu, according to TalkSport.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has targeted that Brazil international, as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the clubs likely return to the Champions League next season.

However Marcelo, whose contract is due to expire in the summer of 2015, has no intention of ending his time in the Spanish capital just yet.

The former Fluminese man has made thirty-three appearances in all competitions for Carlo Ancelotti’s side so far this season, scoring his only goal in a 3-0 home win over Levante last month.

Real are currently in third place in La Liga, three points behind leaders Atletico Madrid with seven games remaining.

They will hope to close that gap when they travel to Real Sociedad at the weekend, where they can be backed at 8/15 for the win.
