Marcelo Lippi is adamant that he has not retired following Italy’s World Cup fiasco and that he will soon return to coaching.
The experienced tactician yesterday attended a charity even in Tuscany, during which he spoke of his current status.
“I am here as a representative of the football world, because I have been and continue to be a part of it,” said Lippi.
“Of course I made some mistakes, but people have forgotten all the good work done in the past, which was only four years ago.
“I will return to a bench. I don’t know where yet, but I certainly do not feel that I am an ex-coach.”
