Marcelo pushing towards Real Madrid exit

Brazilian defender Marcelo is eager to join best mate Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus and has already asked to be allowed to move to Turin.

The Italian daily Tuttosport claims Marcelo has informed his employers about his desire and asked them to let him leave in case Juventus come knocking on their door with an offer. Juventus are said to be planning to offer an exchange deal for Alex sandro.

Los Blancos are looking for potential replacements themselves and appear to be ready to launch a pursuit of Real Betis left-back Junior Firpo.

The 22-year-old Spanish youth international Firpo signed a contract extension with Real Betis in August and was expected to remain at the club until 2023.

As for Marcelo, he’s been with Real Madrid since 2007. He made more than 330 La Liga appearances for Real Madrid but is now itching to move to Juventus where he’d be reunited with Cristiano Ronaldo.
