Real Madrid wide man Marcelo has opened up on his desire to play for Botafogo.
The 28-year-old Brazil international left-back, who often operates on the left wing for his club, is not expected to leave Real Madrid anytime soon, but we might have already learned what his next destination would be.
Speaking in an interview with Globoesporte, as per Mundo Deportivo, the Brazilian said he would love to play for Botafogo one day, adding that it ‘would be great’.
Marcelo started his career at Fluminense where he only played 30 games before he was picked up by the La Liga giants. The Brazilian is representing Los Blancos with great success for the full decade and has by now played 287 La Liga matches and scored 20 goals.
The Brazilian club Botafogo responded to Marcelo’s interest by printing a shirt with his name on in and a number 6 on the back, writing that a ‘Botafogo fan is always welcome at the club’.
