March 10th: Sunday’s Ligue 1 Double – 4/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

While PSG might be cruising their way to more domestic history this season, some real battles are going on at both ends of the Ligue 1 table.

As the race for a lucrative Champions League ticket appears to be going down to the wire, Sunday offers six Ligue 1 showdowns.

On a Sunday schedule that features the likes of PSG and Monaco, we have found a pair of French betting tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

12:00 PSG vs Reims

While Luis Enrique might have found increasing scrutiny over his long-term future in the French capital this season, Sunday’s hosts are in the midst of a real purple patch. Opening this weekend’s fixtures holding a commanding nine-point buffer at the top of the Ligue 1 table and rightfully tipped as a landslide contender to make more domestic history in 2024, the former Barcelona boss will be calling on his superstar squad to make another statement here.

Extending on their Champions League adventure earlier in the week as they stormed their way to a 4-1 romp against Spanish outfit Real Sociedad, PSG are unbeaten in all of their previous 21 straight appearances across all competitions – a run that stems all the way back to November 7th.

Desperate to claim a maiden European crown this year, attacking talisman Kylian Mbappe certainly has a leading role to play before he secures what should be an iconic move to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer.

Bagging a stellar Champions League brace away at Sociedad in midweek, the future Ballon d’Or winner has also registered 21 goals in his 22 Ligue 1 appearances this season.

Likewise, recording 13 strikes since opening the New Year, Mbappe will be confident of cashing in on a Reims squad who find themselves at the heart of a recent struggle.

Making an immediate return to losing ways last weekend as they suffered a 1-0 defeat at home against Lille, Sunday’s guests have now failed to muster a single victory from any of their previous seven domestic appearances across all formats.

Crashing out of the Coupe de France on January 21st following penalties heartbreak away at second-tier outfit Sochaux, Will Still’s men have come tumbling away from a potential European chase.

Facing what looks set to be another heavyweight challenge here, Reims should also be worried by their most recent showdown against the defending champions.

It should be highlighted, when Reims welcomed PSG to the Stade Auguste-Delaune for their reverse meeting on November 11th, Enrique’s men picked up a routine 3-0 romp.

14:00 Strasbourg vs Monaco

While Monaco might have shown some extended inconsistencies this season, Sunday’s hosts are sat in the driving seat to book a lucrative Champions League return in 2024. Although Adi Hutter’s men might have seen their Coupe de France adventure come to an abrupt end at the hands of Rouen last month, the former Eintracht Frankfurt boss will be smelling a golden opportunity here.

Still with their sights set on securing a silver medal finish this season, the Monegasques are unbeaten in all of their previous six straight Ligue 1 appearances.

Last seen putting in a rugged display against defending champions PSG as they snatched a 0-0 stalemate at the Stade Louis II, Monaco should also be excited by their continued success on the road.

Including respective 3-2 victories against Lens and Nice over the past month, Hutter’s men have won six of their previous eight showdowns on the road – a run that stems all the way back to November 24th.

Likewise, landing a 3-0 romp when they welcomed Sunday’s hosts to town for their reverse meeting on August 20th, Monaco will be seeking a repeat performance here.

While Strasbourg might have been enjoying an eye-catching flurry on either side of opening the New Year, Le Racing have come crashing back down to earth in a worrying fashion.

Although Patrick Vieira’s men might have managed to snatch a 2-2 stalemate away at Montpellier last week, the former Crystal Palace boss has seen his downbeat squad fail to win any of their previous seven Ligue 1 appearances.

With some in Strasbourg’s camp potentially looking over their shoulder at a looming relegation scrap in 2024, they have also shown some rather glaring defensive issues.

Including a 3-1 drumming at home against Lorient on February 28th, Strasbourg have conceded at least a pair of goals in all of their last five Ligue 1 showdowns.
