March 13th: Wednesday’s European Double – 3/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

While the Champions League might steal most of Wednesday’s headlines, there are plenty of intriguing affairs from across Europe.

On a Wednesday night that sees Bournemouth welcome Luton to the Vitality for a Premier League showdown, we have taken a look at some of the most intriguing midweek betting markets.

For those of you who are looking to place a Wednesday flutter, we have found a couple of betting tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

18:00 Levante vs Andorra

Although Levante might have suffered play-off heartbreak last season, some in Felipe Minambres’ camp are dreaming of the chance to mount a late top-six charge. Managing to make a crucial return to winning ways last weekend, Wednesday’s hosts will know the importance of making another statement here.

Eventually claiming a gritty 1-0 victory at home against Sporting Gijon, the Frogs have lost just one of their previous 11 appearances across all competitions – a run that stems back to December 6th.

Handed what appears to be a real opportunity in midweek, Levante should also be excited by their continued success at the Estadi Ciutat de Valencia.

Signing off 2023 with a 2-1 victory against Huesca, Minambres’ men have not suffered a home defeat from any of their last six Segunda showdowns.

It should also be highlighted, Levante have not shipped a single goal in front of their own supporters in almost 300 minutes of action.

On the flip side, while Andorra might have opened the 2023/24 campaign looking to mount their own respective play-off charge, Wednesday’s guests are enduring a Segunda nightmare this time around.

Last seen putting in another toothless performance as they suffered a routine 2-0 loss at the hands of Huesca, Eder Sarabia’s men open the midweek fixtures sat three points adrift of second-tier safety.

Collecting just a single victory from any of their previous 11 straight appearances, the Tricolours have also gained a reputation for their extended issues on the road.

Not clinching a single win on their travels since the middle of August, Andorra have also failed to find the net away from the Estadi Nacional since way back on December 10th.

19:30 Bournemouth vs Luton Town

While Bournemouth might have signed off 2023 in the midst of a real flurry, the Cherries do have the feel of a squad seeking some recent stability. Almost sat in Premier League limbo, Andoni Iraola’s men should be smelling a golden opportunity on Wednesday night.

Although Bournemouth might have mounted a dramatic late comeback against Sheffield United over the weekend as they eventually snatched a 2-2 stalemate, the former Rayo Vallecano boss has seen his squad claim just a single victory from their previous nine Premier League appearances.

Recording just a single top-flight victory at the Vitality since opening the New Year, attacking talisman Dominic Solanke will certainly have a leading role to play here.

While the one-time Liverpool starlet might have endured a nightmare afternoon on the south coast last weekend, Solanke has continued on a major Premier League romp this season.

Looking to book a spot for Gareth Southgate’s EURO 24 squad this summer, the 26-year-old has notched 14 goals in his 27 Premier League appearances this year.

Although Luton might have mounted their own respective comeback on Saturday afternoon as they snatched a 1-1 stalemate away at Crystal Palace, Wednesday’s guests are enduring a recent rut.

Despite gaining plenty of plaudits since making a famous Premier League return this season, Rob Edwards’ men have collected just two points from any of their previous six top-flight showdowns.

Likewise, crashing out of the FA Cup last month following a 6-2 drumming at home against Manchester City, the ex-Watford boss will have a major headache over his side’s glaring issues at the back.

In fact, Luton have shipped 23 goals in just their previous seven meetings against Premier League opposition.
