March 19th: Tuesday’s English Double – 4/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

With all of Europe’s elite might have broken up for March’s international break, it should be England’s lower tiers that steal most of Tuesday’s attention.

So, for those of you who are looking to stick on a midweek flutter, we have found a pair of intriguing betting markets that are worth keeping an eye out for on Tuesday night.

19:45 Braintree vs Weymouth

Although Braintree might have eventually fallen short in their bid to book a fifth-tier return last season, Tuesday’s hosts are certainly firing on all cylinders this time around. Leading the chase to secure a bronze medal finish and with the mood in their camp at a continued high, the Essex-based outfit will be smelling a golden opportunity here.

Claiming a 1-0 victory when they travelled to Weymouth on Saturday afternoon, Angelo Harrop’s men will certainly be looking for a repeat performance when they return to Cressing Road.

Only continuing to skyrocket their way up the National League South standings, the Iron are unbeaten in all of their previous 13 straight appearances – a run that stems all the way back to New Year’s Day.

Likewise, gaining a fearsome reputation for their success on home soil, it should be highlighted that Braintree have collected 16 points from their last six National League South showdowns in front of their own supporters.

Conceding just a single goal in almost 500 minutes of action at Cressing Road, Braintree should be relishing Weymouth’s arrival here.

Although Tuesday’s guests might currently hold a commanding eight-point buffer from dropping into the relegation zone, the Terras have continued to show some extended issues over the past six weeks.

Hit with that 1-0 loss when they welcomed Braintree to the Bob Lucas Stadium on Saturday afternoon, Weymouth have collected just a single victory from any of their last seven National League South appearances.

Almost finding themselves sat in sixth-tier limbo, Bobby Wilkinson’s men have also struggled to find any kind of defensive stability.

Including a 4-1 drumming at the hands of Worthing on February 17th, the Dorest-based outfit have shipped 17 goals in just their last eight outings.

Betting Tip: Braintree win & Under 4.5 goals @ 1/1 with Pribet

19:45 Bishop’s Stortford vs King’s Lynn

While King’s Lynn might have drastically fallen short in their bid to claim another play-off ticket this season, Tuesday’s guests do appear to have turned a recent corner. Skyrocketing themselves away from a potential relegation scrap in 2024, Adam Lakeland’s side have certainly come flying out of the traps since opening the New Year.

Last seen over the weekend putting in another professional performance as they secured a 2-1 victory at home against Rushall, the Linnets are riding a real wave of momentum.

In fact, along with opening March with a 3-1 romp at home against South Shields, the Norfolk-based outfit have won all of their previous three appearances on the bounce by an aggregate score of 6-2.

It should also be highlighted, King’s Lynn have not suffered a single defeat from any of their previous eight National League North showdowns.

Likewise, claiming an action-packed 3-2 victory when they welcomed Tuesday’s hosts to Norfolk for their reverse sixth-tier meeting back on October 24th, Lakeland’s side are rightfully tipped as a standout contender here.

While Bishop’s Stortford might have secured a National League North return this season, Steve Smith’s men have endured a public nightmare this time around.

Breaking a host of unwanted records and sat rock-bottom of the table, the Blues also currently find themselves sat a staggering 29 points adrift of safety.

Along with opening March with a 4-1 drumming at home against Chorley, the Hertfordshire-based outfit have lost all of their previous 11 straight appearances.

On a similar note, Tuesday’s hosts have lost all of their previous six contests at Woodside Park by an aggregate score of 19-3.

Given what has been a huge recent gulf in class, we are backing an enjoyable away victory here.
