March 2nd: Saturday’s English Accumulator – 12/1

On a Saturday schedule that is highlighted by seven Premier League fixtures, there are a host of eye-catching affairs on the cards this weekend.

So, for those of you who are looking to stick on a Saturday accumulator, we have found a trio of intriguing English betting markets that are available.

Saturday, March 2nd

BST 15:00 Norwich vs Sunderland

While Norwich might have opened the New Year tipped as a real outside contender in the play-off chase, Saturday’s guests are enjoying a recent flurry. Although David Wagner’s side might have been disappointed last week as they eventually had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate away at Blackburn, the Canaries have lost just a pair of their previous 12 appearances across all competitions. Marking their return to Carrow Road sat just three points adrift of breaking back into the top-six, the former Huddersfield boss will also be excited by his side’s continued success on home soil. Last seen in front of their own supporters storming their way to a 4-1 victory against Cardiff, Norwich have won all of their previous four straight contests in Norfolk by an aggregate score of 12-4. With that hometown romp underlined by a 2-0 win against West Brom on January 20th, Wagner’s men should be relishing Sunderland’s arrival this weekend. Shockingly parting ways with Michael Beale a fortnight ago, the Black Cats find themselves at the heart of a public Championship struggle. Last seen suffering a 2-1 defeat at home against Swansea, interim boss Mike Dodds appears to have a real job on his hands. Losing all of their previous three appearances on the bounce, Saturday’s guests have also gained a reputation for their glaring issues on the road. In fact, Sunderland have collected just a single win away from the Stadium of Light since the end of September.

Tip: Norwich win @ 12/11

15:00 Dorking vs Chesterfield

While Chesterfield might have suffered play-off heartbreak last season, the Spireites are enjoying a record-breaking National League romp this time around. Last seen putting in another rugged display as they secured a 2-0 victory away at Barnet, Paul Cook’s men are breezing their way towards a League Two return. Opening this weekend’s fixtures holding an astonishing 23-point buffer at the top of the table, the former Wigan boss will simply be calling on his red-hot squad to make another statement here. Losing just a quartet of their 35 National League appearances this season and continuing to receive a fearsome reputation for their free-scoring performances in the final third, Chesterfield will be calling on ex-Northern Ireland international Will Grigg to spearhead their charge here. Once again finding the net against Barnet last week, the 32-year-old has recorded 22 National League goals this season. On the flip side, while Dorking might have eventually clung to their National League status last season, Saturday’s hosts are enduring a real struggle this time around. Battling it out in the drop zone and tipped as a leading relegation contender, the Wanderers have also shown some glaring issues in Surrey. In fact, on a run that stems all the way back to December 9th, Marc White’s men have lost six of their previous seven contests at Meadowbank. It should also be noted, Dorking have shipped 10 goals in just their last three contests in front of their own supporters.

Tip: Will Grigg to score anytime @ 6/5

17:30 Luton Town vs Aston Villa

Putting in another action-packed display last weekend as they secured a 4-2 victory at home against Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa have continued to receive a string of praise this season. With the mood in Unai Emery’s camp at a red-hot high, the former Arsenal boss will be calling on his squad to make another statement here. With their sights firmly set on punching a famous Champions League return in 2024, Saturday’s guests have claimed back-to-back domestic wins by an aggregate score 6-3 and they will be excited by their most recent meeting against Luton. Breezing their way to a routine 3-1 victory when they welcomed the Hatters to Villa Park back on October 29th, Emery’s men should be smelling another potential opportunity this weekend. Opening Saturday’s fixtures holding a five-point buffer from slipping out of the top-four, Villa will be relishing a trip to Kenilworth Road here. With Luton watching their FA Cup adventure come to an end in midweek as they fell to a 6-2 drumming at home against Manchester City, Rob Edwards’ side are tipped as a landslide contender to be hit with an immediate Championship return. Last seen in top-flight action suffering a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool, the Hatters have lost all of their previous four appearances by an aggregate score of 15-5. It should also be highlighted, the ex-Watford boss has seen his squad lose all of their last three showdowns at Kenilworth Road.

Tip: Aston Villa win & Both teams to score @ 2/1
