Italian newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested that Manchester United look set to launch a fresh assault on Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio.
The Red Devils have already attempted to sign the Italy international on several occasions, but the Bianconeri were not interested in selling their key player.
However, with Marchisio no longer a first team regular in Turin, Manchester United hope they can finally lure him to Old Trafford in the summer.
The Red Devils boss David Moyes even watched the player in action in the Serie A clash between Cagliari and Juventus.
Marchisio has lost his place in the side with the arrival of Paul Pogba and he has only been used sparingly this season.
And while the midfielder doesn’t want to add fuel to the transfer talk, chances are that he will quit Turin in search of first team football at the end of the season.
Juventus travel to Bentegodi at the weekend hoping to cement the first place in the standings, with the Bianconeri 2/5 to defeat Hellas Verona.
