(GSM) – Juventus’ injury has grown after Saturday’s match against Roma. Claudio Marchisio suffers from a thigh injury and will be sidelined for a minimum of three weeks.
Marchisio played the full 90 minutes in the 2-1 defeat to Roma on Saturday night but strained his thigh towards the end of the match.
The 24-year-old midfielder underwent an MRI scan today and medical staff at Juventus said he will be back in action in around 20 days.
Marchisio is ruled out for the upcoming Serie A games and the Coppa Italia match against Internazionale. He might also miss the Europa League game against Ajax on February 18.
Juventus manager Ciro Ferrara can only hope that his injury list is shorter by then. At the moment, players like David Trezeguet, Mauro Camoranesi and Vincenzo Iaquinta are all unavailable for the under-fire coach.
