Inter Milan are planning a swoop on Roma striker Marco Borriello, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri have already reinforced their attacking department with Ishak Belfodil and Mauro Icardi, but manager Walter Mazzarri believes the two forwards still lack the experience needed to play an important role at Giuseppe Meazza.
With Antonio Cassano leaving and Diego Milito stil recovering from a serious injury, Inter officials plan to sign a more experienced striker by the end of the transfer window.
Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested that they are hoping to bring Roma’s Marco Borriello on a season-long loan.
Inter are reportedly prepared to match his €4 million yearly wage, with his current employers likely to be interested in such an arrangement given that boss Rudi Garcia doesn’t seem to rely too much on the experienced striker.
Marco Borriello, 31, has spent last season on loan at Genoa, where he managed 12 goals in 28 Serie A matches.
