Italian giants AC Milan are reportedly hot on the trail of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti, Il Corriere dello Sport can reveal.
The Rossoneri have been in excellent form this season and with the help of new owners they plan to further reinforce their ranks in January.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella has set his sights on PSG playmaker Marco Verratti.
The Italian coach attempted to bring the then Pescara youngster to Fiorentina some four years ago, and he will now attempt to make things right by luring him to San Siro.
Marco Verratti is widely regarded as a key member of the team at Parc des Princes, but he doesn’t have such a good relationship with new boss Unai Emery and could decide to look for a new challenge.
After defeating leaders Juventus, AC Milan sit in third position in the Serie A standings and they can be backed at 20/1 to lift the league trophy.
