Villarreal have announced on their official website that veteran midfielder Marcos Senna is leaving the club at the end of the current campaign.
The El Madrigal outfit has revealed the 36-year-old will be moving to Major League Soccer, but the name of his next club was not disclosed.
Marcos Senna has just helped Villarreal return to the elite division after a one-year absence, with 1-0 win over Almeira on the final day proving enough for a second-place finish.
The Brazilian-born midfielder has made 33 league appearances for the Yellow Submarine this season, scoring 5 goals in the process.
Senna has decided to leave the club after spending last 11 years at El Madrigal, during which he made a total of 257 La Liga appearances.
After gaining a Spanish passport, the midfielder went on to earn 28 Spain caps, and featured in 5 matches as la Furia Roja won the Euro 2008 trophy.
