Marcus Rashford spent only 17 minutes on the pitch, having come on in the 63rd only to be taken off injured in the 80th, in Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup on Wednesday. With a trip to Anfield to face fierce rivals Liverpool on Sunday looming, it’s definitely not good news for the Red Devils.
Speaking after the game, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that Rashford had been struggling for a while and the plan to play him against Wolves ‘backfired’.
Will Rashford be fit for #MUFC's trip to #LFC?
"I didn't want to play him. I think he got a knock, a knee or something, in his back, but he's been struggling for a little while."
