Mario Balotelli in talks over MLS switch

MLS side DC United have been showing interest in Nice striker Mario Balotelli, according to Sports Illustrated.

It is no secret that the Italian plans to leave les Aiglons when his contract expires in June, and his agent Mino Raiola has set out to find him a new club.

While several European sides are also keen, latest reports suggest that DC United are ready to make their move as well.

The MLS club plan to go from one to three Designated Players this year and they have been in contact with Mino Raiola, hoping to persuade his client Mario Balotelli to join them in the summer.

The Italian did well to kick-start his career in French Ligue 1, netting 29 times in 46 league appearances for Nice.
