Russian newspaper Izvestia reports that Napoli are weighing up a move for CSKA Moscow full-back Mario Fernandes.
The Nerazzurri are a bit short of options on wing positions and they will be looking to address the issue in the winter transfer window.
And the latest reports from Russia suggest that Rafael Benitez sees CSKA’s Mario Fernandes as a good alternative to starting right-back Christian Maggio.
According to the same source, the Azzurri are ready to offer no less than €13 million for the highly rated footballer.
Mario Fernandes joined CSKA Moscow from Gremio in the summer of 2012, and he went on to start 27 Russian Premier League fixtures in his first season at the club.
However, the 23-year-old missed the start of the current season through injury, and finally returned into action in November’s derby against Spartak Moscow.
Considering that CSKA Moscow are in financial trouble at the moment, they might be willing to listen to offers for the Brazilian.
