Galatasaray have launched a fresh assault on Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez, according to Tuttosport.
Having recruited Lukas Podolski from Arsenal, the Turkish giants plan to make few more marquee signings this summer and the Germany international has emerged as their top target.
According to the latest reports, Galatasaray hope to sign Mario Gomez on a season-long loan with an option to buy, and they are ready to offer the striker a contract worth €3.5 million per season.
Meanwhile, Fiorentina would prefer an outright transfer worth €10 million, while the player himself wants €5 million yearly salary.
However, seeing as Viola are eager to offload the striker who has failed to prove his worth at Artemio Franchi, some sort of agreement may be reached eventually.
Mario Gomez, 30, joined Fiorentina as a big name signing from Bayern Munich two years ago, but he has since managed mere 7 goals in 29 league outings.
