Bayern Munich forward Mario Gotze has added fuel to speculation linking him with a move away from Alianz Arena by admitting he would like to play abroad in the future.
The 22-year-old was linked with a number of top Premier League sides in the past, but he insists he is perfectly happy with the Bavarians.
Nevertheless, Gotze has moved to reveal that he plans to leave the German Bundesliga one day in the future.
“I am very, very happy to be playing at Bayern, in Germany,” Gotze told German daily newspaper Bild on Wednesday.
“But I might play for another 14 years, and a move abroad would certainly not be bad.
“A foreign country would also be tempting for someone of my personality, but I have not given it serious thought yet.”
Mario Gotze caused a great deal of controversy when he left Borussia Dortmund to sign for bitter rivals Bayern Munich last summer, and he went on to score 10 Bundesliga goals during the first season at Alianz Arena.
The talented footballer made 6 appearances for Germany at the 2014 World Cup and scored the only goal in the final against Argentina to secure the coveted title for die Mannschaft.
