Spanish daily newspaper AS has suggested that AC Milan are hot on the trail of Atletico Madrid midfielder Mario Suarez.
It is no secret the Rossoneri are in the market for midfield reinforcements, with up to three midfielders expected to leave next summer.
According to the latest reports, AC Milan are considering a summer bid for Atletico’s Mario Suarez.
The highly rated footballer has been frustrated by the lack of first team football and he even attempted to leave Vicente Calderon in January.
Mario, nonetheless, scored a very important goal in the Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen, but one good performance is unlikely to change his status in the squad.
It remains to be seen whether long-term suitors Inter Milan will rekindle their interest at the end of the season, but AC Milan appear to be leading the chase at the moment.
Mario Suarez, 28, returned to Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2010 and has since made 117 La Liga appearances.
