Marko Grujic has made a decision! Liverpool midfielder has decided where he will play next season and by the looks of it, he will be returning to Hertha Berlin on another year-long loan. After spending the 2018-19 at the club from Germany’s capital, Serbian midfielder will be taking his place in Hertha’s squad once again.
Serbia’s Mozzart Sport exclusively claim Grujic has chosen to return to Berlin amidst rumours of other clubs also being interested in him. Grujic was a target by Werder Bremen, whose coach is a good friend with Jurgen Klopp, but also Eintracht Frankfurt who seem to really like signing Serbian players every summer, and also Atalanta. The Serie A club had the best bargaining chip of playing in Champions League.
However, Grujic chose Hertha since he already knows surroundings. He played 23 matches for the Berliners last season, 22 in Bundesliga, scoring five goals and adding one assist. Last year he worked with Pal Dardai, but this time it will be Ante Covic who will be trying to get the best out of Liverpool midfielder.
