Marko Marin set for Anderlecht switch

Belgian giants Anderlecht are expected to complete the signing of German midfielder Marko Marin from Chelsea, La Derniere Heure has revealed.

The 25-year-old has reportedly passed a medical in Brusells, with the transfer set to be made official later today.

La Derniere Heure has learned that Marin joins Anderlecht on a six-month loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Marko Marin was loaned to Fiorentina in the summer, but he in turn failed to make a single league appearance for Viola, only featuring in four Europa League fixtures.

As a result, the Serie A side probably do not mind cutting short his loan deal, which should allow him to move to Anderlecht during the winter transfer window.

Marin’s career has been on a major downtrend ever since he joined Chelsea from Werder Bremen in July 2012, although the midfielder still has plenty of time to return to the right track.
