Juventus sporting director Beppe Marotta admitted the club would be active in January transfer window, while hinting at some possible targets.
The Juventus executive says the club will only sign players who can improve quality of the team.
“The market in January? It is an opportunity that must be grasped by all teams,” said Marotta.
“We will only take into account the players who can increase the quality of the squad. The second aspect is economic: we won’t be making big investments.”
Marotta added that the club are already working on signing Albero Aquilani and Fabio Quagliarella on permanent deals.
“We are already planning for the summer transfer window: We are keen on Quagliarella and Aquilani, and then we will evaluate all aspects of their outright purchase.”
Juventus are also expected to sign a new striker in January and they have been linked with quite a few players over the last few weeks.
“Between Dzeko and Benzema we choose Dzeko, whereas Maxi Lopez is not in our plans.”
