Marquez set to return

Barcelona defender Rafael Marquez is hoping to return to action during the Spanish giant’s trip to the USA.

Marquez has been out of action since the Champions League semi-final against Chelsea in April.

“I feel very well, happy to return. I’m still not with the squad, but we are working towards me being part of the group in the United States and to be at 100 per cent,” Marquez told Barca TV.

“Without doubt I felt helpless (at the end of last season) because I was out of such important games, but at the same time I felt a great happiness. I thank my team-mates for obtaining these victories.

“I hope that next season I can always be with the squad.”
