Le 10 Sport understands that Paris Saint-Germain have offered central defender Marquinhos a significant pay rise in an attempt to prevent him from leaving the club.
The Brazilian defender is seriously thinking about quitting Parc des Princes in search of regular playing time, and there are quite a few top sides ready to offer him an escape route.
However, PSG officials are desperate to keep hold of their prized asset and have now offered him a chance to become one of club’s highest paid footballers.
Reports from France suggest that Marquinhos is tempted by the latest proposal, but he will not make a decision on his future until after the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
The 22-year-old, who started two matches for Brazil at the 2016 Copa America Centenario, is also in the squad for the Men’s Football Tournament at the Summer Games, alongside Neymar, Renato Augusto and Felipe Anderson.
