Brazilian defender Marquinhos will be forced to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season, according to his official representative.
The talented footballer has become increasingly frustrated at playing second fiddle to compatriots David Luiz and Thiago Silva, while he also doesn’t like playing at right-back, where he has deputised on numerous occasions in the past.
The latest reports suggest that Marquinhos will request to leave the club at the end of the current campaign unless the situation changes and his official representative has now added fuel to fire.
“He wants to stay, but if the situation does not change, he will ask to leave this summer, because at 21, he must have his sporting progress in mind,” agent Giuliano Bertolucci confessed to L’Equipe.
It is not as if Marquinhos has not been getting regular first team action at Parc des Princes, having made a total of 27 competitive appearances already this season, but the Brazilian is becoming fed up at being left out in important games.
Paris Saint-Germain carry a one-goal lead into the return match against Chelsea, and the Saints are priced at 17/10 to win the return leg as well.
