Marquinhos is keen to sign a contract renewal with Paris Saint-Germain.
The 22-year-old has a contract with PSG until June 2019, but is continually being linked with a move elsewhere, with Barcelona believed to be among his suitors.
However, Marquinhos has made it clear his future lies in the French capital.
“This is my fourth year at PSG. I have adapted to life here and speak French. Plus my family is feeling well in Paris,” the defender told Telefoot.
“Things are going well and I would love to stay here. I hope to sign a renewal.
“It does not only depend on me, but it is looking good.”
PSG have endured a difficult start to the 2016-17 campaign and are four points behind Ligue 1 leaders Monaco, but Marquinhos is confident they will soon be back to their usual best.
“It is hard to explain this difficult spell,” he added.
“You always have to win at PSG. A draw is already regarded as a bad result.
“But PSG are capable of doing anything. We are aware of our abilities and we are confident the best is yet to come. We are working to get out of this situation. Everything will soon be forgotten.”
