Marseille sporting director Jose Anigo has moved to confirm interest in Ligue 1 stars Bafetimbi Gomis and Florian Thauvin.
OM have produced quite a coup by signing Dimitri Payet and Gilbert Imbula Wanga, but they continue to search for attacking reinforcements.
It is believed the club are looking to sign a player who would provide competition for Andre-Pierre Gignac up front, while not giving up on long-term target Florian Thauvin.
The French giants are showing interest in both Thauvin and Bafetimbi Gomis, according to club’s sporting director Jose Anigo.
“Thauvin? Gomis? Yes, it is possible. (Guillaume) Hoarau, no,” the Marseille chief confessed to Canal +.
Florian Thauvin, one of Ligue 1’s hottest prospects made a switch to Lille in the winter transfer window, but it appears he has regretted his decision and is now hoping to complete a move to Stade Velodrome.
Meanwhile, Lyon have made Bafetimbi Gomis available for sale and after failing to strike a deal with Newcastle, les Gones might be prepared to consider an offer from their league rivals.
