Marseille agree Mason Greenwood deal with Manchester United

Marseille are interested in signing Mason Greenwood from Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to talkSPORT. The report has claimed that Ligue 1 club Marseille have already reached an agreement with Premier League outfit United over Greenwood.

TalkSPORT has reported that Marseille will pay United a transfer fee of £26.7 million for Greenwood. That includes a fixed fee of £23.3 million with a further £3.4 m in add-ons. United will also receive 50 per cent of any future sale of Greenwood, who came through the English club’s youth academy.

Greenwood spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Getafe from United. The 22-year-old English forward scored eight goals and gave six assists in 30 starts and three substitute appearances in La Liga last season. Marseille finished eighth in the Ligue 1 table last season with 50 points from 34 games. As for United, the Red Devils ended up eighth in the Premier League table in the 2023-24 campaign with 60 points from 38 games.
