French giants Marseille are hot on the trail of Argentina international defender Milton Casco, according to L’Equipe.
OM hope to finalise the signing of right-back Facundo Roncaglia in the coming days, but they also aim to reinforce the left flank.
According to report, Marcelo Bielsa has made Newell’s defender Milton Casco his number one target and Marseille already had two bids rejected for the 27-year-old footballer.
After the offers worth €1.5m and €2m were turned down, OM look set to return with a fresh bid for the player valued at €4 million.
Casco’s agent moved to confirm reports in an interview with L’Equipe, but it remains to be seen whether the two sides can reach an agreement over the transfer fee.
Milton Casco has so far represented Gimnasia La Plata and Newell’s Old Boys, making a total of 152 league appearances.
He surprisingly made Argentina’s Copa America squad, but failed to make a single outing at the tournament finals.
